I came for their Vegan philly sandwich and it was yummy!  I definitely recommend for my fellow vegans or people who want to try it. Very filling. The woman was friendly and nice. Go check em out when you are in Rainier valley area.

we've been to this food truck maybe three times and been to the actual location once. most times it's just a solid "OK. i guess it gets the job done if you're wanting a philly." this most recent time at the truck, the bread was hard, the food was cold, and there was something hard and not tasty in the sandwich that made my bf's tummy hurt afterward. it definitely wasn't worth the price (it was the food truck, and an original philly + peppers and a soda was $13, $15 with a 15% tip). they also never have mushrooms.

we'd tried the spicy one at the location and it wasn't great, but maybe that one's on us, since phillies aren't supposed to be spicy

the cook was really nice. but yeah, food wise, i'm pretty done here

I liked this place well enough and think I'd probably give it a higher rating if I had gone more than once and sampled additional menu items.

I went on a weekday during the middle of the afternoon, so I was basically the only customer in there except for a takeout order. I had the regular, standard cheesesteak, hold the onions. It was good, not great. They use American cheese, which everyone knows will always take second place against using provolone (don't @ me). I did enjoy it though. It came with fries, which were fine as well, but nothing to write home about.

Service was at the counter, everything was cooked to order. Prices were really good, I could have ordered multiple things and probably not cracked $25.

The restaurant is in South Seattle on Rainier Ave near Brighton, so it's kind of isolated out in the middle of nowhere, relatively speaking. However, the area is really nothing but residential and strip malls with little stores and bars, so King Philly is a nice option to have in that neighborhood (I was staying nearby, two bus stops away). They have a food truck as well.

In all, I recommend this restaurant and think branching away from the typical cheesesteak and trying other things on the menu would be a great idea. But sometimes, a plain old cheesesteak sounds great.

Tried the King Philly truck today. Big mistake!
It took forever, I order the original cheesesteak.
They obviously for that green peppers were supposed to be on it, cause it had none. The meat wasn't seasoned and it was skimpy on the cheese side.  I Didn't even eat half of it, couldn't go get something else for lunch, since it took them almost 30min complete my order. Hungry!

King Philly is a great quick service cheesesteak restaurant in South Seattle. They also have a food truck which we did not try.

We chose to visit because we had a hankering for a Philly and wanted to try somewhere new. I chose King Philly because it had high yelp ratings and is open on Sunday.

The restaurant is in South Seattle on Rainier Ave. There is plenty of parking nearby. The interior is clean and basic and has a few tables and chairs for folks who want to eat in as we did.

The menu is pretty simple (cheesesteaks and wings), but there are plenty of ways to customise.

The cheesesteaks were great. Ingredients freshly chopped and mixed - much better integrated than most places. Sides were fine. Onion rings quite good, fries pretty basic.

    Service was friendly and prompt.

Recommended. One of only a few good Philly places I've visited in Seattle.
